Renee
This movement requires no martyrs and yet we accepted another one this week.
I thought about Reneeβs last moments. Did they make eye contact? What did she see when she looked at the man whoβd so easily take her life?
What did he see? What does a person who can quickly discard of another person see in that moment?
Do they realize everything they take?
Their voice.
Their memories.
Their laugh.
Their story.
Their body.
Their pain.
Their follies.
Their breath.
Their dreams.
Or do they only see their reflection in the eyes of the person theyβve decided to destroy? Is that why they pull the trigger?
She should still be here.
She should still be here.
She should still be here.
